Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Injustice

Batman-V-Superman-Dawn-of-Justice
No fault of Ben Affleck, but I had tremendous hopes for this movie and waited so long to see it. Now that I have seen it, tears are streaming from my eyes.

If this movie was a straight forward Batman movie (with some changes) it could have worked. Ben Affleck did a good job of being Gotham City’s savior in black, and I’d like to see him continue the roll. As for this movie, it was like riding a bicycle over a golf course. Beautiful greens, tall grasses, and dreaded sand traps. Unfortunately, this movie got stuck in the traps.

Much of the movie’s soundtrack just didn’t work either. The movie score set the mood to be too somber. It was like they were over-dramatizing the movie but the score made it more mellow dramatic and hurt the movie in my opinion. Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL (aka Tom Holkenborg) could/should have done a much better job.

I want DC to succeed, and I love Batman and the DC heroes and villains, so I will see everything that spawns from this outing.
