I’m not much of an America’s Got Talent watcher, but I happen to turn on the tube and saw a 16 year-old piano player being featured so I figured why not wait and see this kid.
I sat through some excruciating and bad youtube talent, before the piano player came on. He played a piece of classical music and he was good, but like the three judges, he didn’t stand out. No “it factor” for me other than being a very, very good pianist and a nice kid.
Then came Dan Sperry, anti-conjurer. He had a great performance and star presence on stage. I thought his dental floss and lifesaver illusion was one of the best that I’ve ever seen. I figured he was a sure thing.
The judges kept talking about a 10 year-old girl who could sing like there’s no tomorrow, so I decided to stay until the end and have a listen. I mean how good can a ten year-old be; right?
I was left speechless and almost in tears! This little girl will be the next big thing with a lifelong career ahead of her. If you haven’t seen the video or heard Jackie Evancho’s voice, you owe it to yourself to listen to this girls voice.
I think Sharon Osbourne said it best when she said something like, she has never heard a voice like that, ever, come out of a little girl.
