Sometime between the Fall of 1966 and early 1967, the band Chicago Transit Authority was formed, and shortly after became better known as Chicago.
Now, 40 years later, numerous lineup changes, and 100+ million records sold, they continue to forge a path that few recording groups have and can maintain.
Gone is the distinctive voice of Peter Cetera who most of us remember as the voice of Chicago up until 1985, left for a successful solo career. Although several of the members from Chicago shared vocals, Cetera’s was the main voice, which has now been replaced by various members of the band taking their turn at singing such memorable songs as: Feelin Stronger Everyday and Wishing You Were Here; just to name two.
There of course was so many more memorable songs that the band had which featured the vocals from the other members of the band which were just as big a hit.
The show that I went to was an overall success both for the band and fans. With a perfect night for a concert and hit after hit, everyone was just happy to be in one place celebrating and singing.
The vocals weren’t always perfect at times, but the music and memories is what carried the band into the stratosphere of satisfaction for everyone that night. The band has also reached far beyond just music, they carry a message of freedom and happiness to be shared by everyone.
Towards the end of the concert the bands patriotism shined with the dropping of the American flag as the backdrop to the stage; it was stars and stripes at its glory with colored lights and shimmering stars above. What a perfect end to a spectacular night!

It was raining, and the skies above didn’t seem like they were going to let-up at all for the Michael Franti & Spearhead concert at Marymoor Park, outside of Redmond, WA. People trickled in by the droves over the course of a couple of hours; some dressed in rain gear, and others in simple cotton clothing and sandals strapped to their feet, but all had smiles on their faces. Politically charged, but not a politician, Franti’s [...]

Well, it came and went… The 2010 Mayhem Festival in Auburn, WA was an event but did it deliver? The crowd this year seemed to be a little thin compared to last year, but that didn’t mean those who were there didn’t experience any fun, because they did. To me this years lineup on all the stages seemed to be a little heavier and more polished than in years past. I for one wasn’t too [...]

Four Tops- Sunday July 11th was the kick-off for the Tulalip Resort Casino Summer Concert Series at its amphitheatre. The weather had been blistering hot for days before the show, but the temperature came down to a manageable 70 something degrees making it a comfortable evening for a show under the stars. With groups like The Temptations and Four Tops, you never know what to expect other than their familiar songs. What I mean is- [...]

This last summer I was searching for a new metal rock band with an aggressive female lead singer similar to Hayley Williams from Paramore or Amy Lee from Evanescence. A friend of mine introduced me to Lacey Mosley of Flyleaf and had me watch the video “I’m So Sick.” I liked it and purchased the song right away. I didn’t go much further than that. Then I heard Flyleaf was coming to Seattle this month [...]
